Discover Design, home to 116 companies showcasing inspired design and cutting-edge product innovation, is sold-out for the 2013 International Home + Housewares Show, which runs March 2-5, 2013 at the McCormick Centre in Chicago. Discover Design is located in the Dine + Design Expo in the South Building.
Among the new companies exhibiting this year are Aesthetic Movement, Areaware, Teroforma, Legnoart, Menu and Present Time. Returning in 2013 are Alessi, Blomus, Joseph Joseph, Magisso, Nambe, Room Copenhagen and Serene House.
A new addition to the category for 2013, Design Debut, will introduce five new companies:
- Anne Black
- Aramis
- Deglon S.A.
- Headsprung
- Toast Living

Along with the exhibitors and an expanded Discover Design Gallery, other events planned for area include:
- A Discover Design Specialty Retailer & Media Reception at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday where invited buyers and media can mingle with the exhibitors and their designers.
- A Discover Design Global Innovation Awards ceremony at 11:30 a.m. on Monday.
- A Discover Design Lounge with Wine Bar and Cafe.
Once again, Discover Design companies are eligible to compete for a Global Innovation Award (gia) for product innovation and booth design. Each company submitted two new products and one collection for consideration for the gia award. The winners will be announced at the invitation-only gia dinner on Sunday, March 3.
All products submitted for the gia award will be displayed at the Show in the Discover Design Gallery on the exhibit floor near booth S3283. The gallery is open to registered buyers and media.
The 2013 International Home + Housewares Show features more than 2,100 exhibitors from 125 countries and attracts more than 60,000 attendees.
